My Long Lost Twin--Updated

I've had a couple people tell me in the past that I look like Sophia Bush. Considering the fact that I rarely, if ever, blow dry my hair, wear more than mascara, blush and chapstick, and, well, you've seen THIS picture (click HERE), I didn't agree so much at first.

But the other nite I was bored so I searched for images of Sophia (yes, we're on a first name basis now) and found the following... It even creeps ME out a little how much we look alike. Except she's a movie star and she looks hot every day. But whatever.
I added some of my modeling shots for comparison.
However, as hard as I tried, I couldn't seem to find a photo of Sophia in long johns.
And I should add this sidenote--many of these photos of me were BEFORE I was a Mom. You may recall this photo, which is probably a more accurate depiction of me NOW (click HERE). I don't think Sophia has any like this, either. She's missing out.

Final Post for This Wkend!

Just had to throw these on here... from today.

"I said NO SOLICITORS!"

Going for a joy ride.

His first real owie. He didn't shed a tear (he was too busy chasing the girls!)

Mike's home-cooked birthday dinner...
there is roast, carrots and potatoes somewhere under all that gravy (Yes! I even made gravy!)

Somehow I managed to get a present on Mike's B-Day!
I had to show off the new kicks my sweet husband picked out for me!

Other Randoms--Wkend of 9.26.08

More fun times from our weekend...

I always said I would NEVER put those tacky window decals on my front door.
Today I bought tacky window decals for my front door.
And my back door.

Brax helped put them on...

...And take them off. Over, and over, and over...

And then said I was the meanest mommy EVER
when I made him leave them on!

Sweet baby. Mike says he's a big boy, but he's still my sweet baby.

The first thing I noticed when I saw this picture
was the shadow of his profile on the wall--
it looks EXACTLY like it did in my sonogram
when I was just 16 weeks pregnant...
Check it out:

Brax went with me to pick up some Craigslist treasures. I SO need a minivan!
Can I just say how much I LOVE Craigslist! I am ghetto-finishing part of our basement to make a playroom for Brax to keep him entertained thru the winter (remember, he and Aunt Laura will be couped up in the house all day long!). We aren't professionally finishing it (drywall, etc) but I am painting the concrete walls a bright yellow, I found a guy that sells carpet remnant and pad on CL, and I've found all kinds of fun things (on CL) to keep Brax busy until he goes to preschool. I'll post the finished product later...

This is one his favorite games... He slides down the stairs and waits for me to throw him balls. Then he brings them back to me, one at a time.
(He usually gets tired of that after about 3 returns.)

Fruit Loops and Friends

We went to the park on Saturday.

Brax was DELIGHTED to discover that some other child had left him a present...
FRUIT LOOPS.

Everywhere he turned, there were FRUIT LOOPS.
Just calling his name, asking to be eaten.

This is me taking the fruit loops OUT of his mouth, not feeding them to him.
SICK.

"But they WANTED ME to have them!
They left them here just for ME!!!"

He even tried to share his gift with another little boy.
For some reason, he declined.

"Fine! I'll take my FRUIT LOOPS over here then."

"Ahhh! I see someone else who might enjoy a FRUIT LOOP!"

Playing Peek-a-Boo with a lady at the picnic table.
She declined the fruit loop as well.

Much to my dismay, my child has now eaten off the ground. I always said, "MY child will NEVER eat things off the ground." That was before I knew how sneaky and quick they are when they spot contraband.
