A Harper Post

While Brax is busy running 100 mph, I take alot of pics of Harper girl...

She is loving our new Sam's Club find--
Veggie Straws. They are a cross between potato chips, french fries, and puffed rice!
The dissolve quickly as she gnaws on them (and Brax loves them too!)

I was trying to get a shot of her and I in our OU gear...

"Cheerleading IS TOO a sport."

I love her precious little hands.

She is a girl on the move.

This is one my favorite outfits of hers because we always sing "You are my sunshine..."
It is a 6 month onesie so I had to get one more picture in it while I still could!

She had just woken up in the morning... nice bed head!

More self-portraits, this time w/ the timer.
They were blurry, but cute.

She's Gaining on You, Buddy.

This is a series of pictures taken over the last 2 weeks.

It started with Harper discovering that
there is life on the hearth of the fireplace.
"What's that? You want to come up here?"

"Awww, gee. That's too bad YOU CAN'T."

"Oh, this train? You want this train?"

"Really, I do feel bad that you can't join me up here."

"There are SO MANY fun toys you're missing out on."

Brax, you're day is coming... She's gaining on you!

"You're gonna' be sorry for taunting me, buddy.
I'm all over this fireplace!"

The Lone Dandilion

The thing I love most about my obsession with taking pictures is how it causes me to see things I would typically be in too much of a hurry to notice. The little things. The beautiful things. Like this lone dandilion. Harper and I were sitting on our front steps watching Brax play, and the light on this random weed in the next door neighbor's grass caught the corner of my eye. So we hustled over there and I snapped away, one-handed (as Harper was hanging off my other arm), and managed to get this shot before the quickly fading late-day sun changed.

Then Brax ran over to check out what the fuss was all about,
and blew it's fluff and made a wish. And then I got THIS shot, unprompted!
One of my all-time faves.
I love this hobby!

At Aunt Leslie's

"Aunt" Leslie and her hubs had us over one Sunday for dinner.
We had so much fun playing (and Harper loved sleeping there! She took a 2 1/2 hour nap which is more than she does at home some days!!!) while the guys watched the Chiefs game.

Yes, Harper, you should marry him.

The boys bonded over Thomas the Train.

They worked off some chili.
(No, it wasn't ON!)

I love this kid!

I think someone has baby fever...

Funnnnn times!
One... Two... Three...
JUMP!

Fro Yo

A couple of weeks ago (yes, I'm that far behind on blogging) our friends met us to take a walk to a nearby frozen yogurt shop. It's one of those that has like 10 different flavors of yogurt (which really tastes like soft serve ice-cream) and then a gazillion toppings to add on! It was a perfect day for a walk AND ice cream.

I love Henry's enthusiasm for his sweet treat!

The boys wanted to ride together in our sit 'n stand stroller.
This made for a great post-dessert work out for me! Ha!

And it was still warm enough on October 16 to go for a
nipply-but-fun jaunt through the sprinklers!

Sharing... Or Not.

Sometimes, Brax is willing to accommodate Harper's growing interest in his stuff.
This is usually a result of my insistence, and he will only grant her access to certain things.

Showing her how the cars fit in the "slots" on his little car caddy.
(Made by my dear friend Kizzy!)

But if he turns his back for just one second...
...she goes for the contraband.

And he is quick to repossess.
