When we got home, Harper went down for her nap and Brax and I spiffed up the house.
I changed all the sheets and managed to get 6 loads of laundry done over the course of the day.
We spit cleaned the bathrooms and the kitchen...
Brax helped by wiping down the placemats and putting them all back!

Then I attempted to introduce some new "fun" projects.
This lasted all of 3 minutes...

This was a sorting and fine motor skill exercise.

He completed the job, but he had spotted this tube I had stored in our activity cabinet...

He couldn't
wait to play with the "bazooka."
(He learned this from Jace, our 8 year old neighbor that he idolizes.)
He was "shooting" the men painting the house across the street.
Nice.

Then it turned into a telescope.
I decided that if I couldn't beat him, I'd join him,
and I covered the tube in duct tape to make it more "authentic."
After some bazooka time, I thought I'd encourage another learning activity.
I had written the upper and lower case alphabet on milk and water bottle lids.
He was supposed to work on identifying the letters...

...but he preferred to load his gun with ammunition.

He was even so kind as to let Harper touch his precious bazooka.

Briefly...

"Allright, Angelina, give me back the weapon."
-------------
Eventually, we moved onto to puzzles.
While Brax worked on those, Harper and I did a little photo shoot (HERE)...

And then Harper amazed me by scooting for the first time!
Little did I know, that Harper was deciding at this very moment that she could move!

(The video does it more justice. Click here!)After loooong naps (which made the day even better for everyone),
we met our friends Abbey, Noah and Blaire, at the park to soak up more cool sunshine!
Blaire and Harper hung out on the blanket (sort of).

The girls sure have come a long way since this picture...

They were 8 and 4 weeks old here!
The boys were on the move the whole time.

Harper and Blaire enjoying the swings
while Brax and Noah dig for treasures.

And to top off our great day, we had "movie night" after bath time!
Brax chose Hero Of The Rails (a Thomas movie--blechhh.
Mike and I prefer Disney movies! Oh well, it's the QT that counts, right?)

I got out my old TV tray from when I was a kid and gave him some popcorn,
but he was so entranced by Hero that he hardly ate any!
It was a good day... One for the books. Or the blog, in this case!
