WFMW-Controlling Plasticware in the Dishwasher

IT'S WORKS FOR ME WEDNESDAY!

You know what annoys me? When you run the dishwasher, only to open it and find all of your plastic bowls and cups overturned, filled with sediment. SSSSSSSick.
I found a solution.

First, I found this set of plastic yellow hooks and giant rubber bands at Wal-Mart. But the rubber bands broke the first time I ran the dishwasher.

So then I went to one of those gourmet cooking stores and found these large silicone bands. They are meant to be used for holding food together in the oven or on the grill, but they are dishwasher safe. I linked a few of them together and rigged them over the top shelf in the dishwasher, using the yellow hooks from the first set. (Click on the picture for where to buy them)

See?

My dishwasher looks booby-trapped, but it Works For Me!

That's too funny...I was just today thinking there had to be a way to keep the same thing from happening in my dishwasher. I may just go try this out since I'm so tired of the GROSS stuff in the kid's plastic cups. Thanks for sharing!

That's pretty nifty. I'll have to show this to my mom. She's the one with the dishwasher.
